At UFC Fight Night 83 we will see an exciting night of fights headlined by a dual between two modern day Cowboys. The fight card, taking place in Pittsburgh PA, was supposed to headline with Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone’s Welterweight debut against Tim Means. It was announced early February, that due to a potential USADA drug-testing violation, Tim Means was out, and Alex “Cowboy” Oliveira was in! Cerrone was on an 8 fight win streak before his loss to UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael dos Anjos in December of 2015. Now he is making his move up a weight class to make a run at the Welterweight division. Alex Oliveira is making his way off of a 3 fight win streak, 2 of which fought at Welterweight, and his most recent fight at Lightweight. Both of these fighters are very exciting and both seem to hold the “fight anyone, anytime, anywhere” type of mindset. They like to be very active as well, Cerrone having 4 fights during the course of 2015, and Oliveira had 5! Both of these Cowboys are very exciting to watch and this bout should rival the action of an old “Spaghetti Western” film. Another fight you will not want to miss on this card will be Dennis “The Menace” Bermudez versus Tatsuya “The Crusher” Kawajiri. Bermudez, fighting out of Long Island MMA in Farmingdale NY, is one of the most explosive and exciting fighters we have ever seen inside the Octagon and has previously held a 7 fight win streak in his division, holding many performance bonus’s on the way. Although “The Crusher” is a true Veteran of the sport, with 45 professional MMA bouts, we see Dennis “The Menace” winning this one in exciting fashion!
