The tide raises the level of all ships!

Yesterday during Long Island MMA’s 11am Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class head coach Gregg DePasquale promoted Hugh Mckenna to the rank of Brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Hugh Mckenna is one of the toughest people in the gym and one of the most hard working. Hugh came from a wrestling background but he didn’t let that stop him from developing a dangerous guard for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as well as a sophisticated Gi game that even includes many Gi chokes and Gi grips.  Hugh also annouced that he will be making his Bellator MMA debut on June 24th in Madison Square Garden! This had been a good week for Hugh Mckenna!

Also Austin Ennover was promoted to the rank of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu purple belt from Gregg DePasquale! Austin has been training with us ever since we had our gym in Lindenhurst. Austin recently moved to queens but that doesn’t stop him from coming down to Long Island MMA to train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Austin’s game has always been one of the most active and exciting at Long Island MMA and we are looking forward to seeing him continue to progress at the gym.

Congratulations guys!
