Last Month Long Island MMA has its first Professional MMA champ since Chris Wade. Ashiek Ajim has won the CES Bantamweight Championship in the first minute of the first round. Ashiek was working hard and was prepared for five, five-minute rounds, However this fight was a little different from Ashieks typical fights. Normally we see Ashiek dominate his fights on the feet where we don’t get to see his ground game. Don’t let that make you believe Ashiek isn’t a finisher on the ground. He currently holds the Rank of Brown Belt under Coach Gregg DePasquale and Brian Michelino at Long Island MMA. Ashiek was able to score a guillotine in the first round, Ashiek’s opponent shot a takedown as soon as the fight started, Ashiek locked in the Guillotine and was able to finish the fight without a single strike even attempted. This was the first time in UFC fight pass history were a title was won with out a single punch even being attempted. We are very excited to see what is next for Ashiek maybe the UFC maybe another Professional Title but all i can say is keep your eye on him soon you will be seeing him everywhere.
