LIMMA’s Brian Kelleher tied for most UFC wins in 2020!
“Who finishes fights?”
Long Island’s Brian Kelleher was victorious this past Saturday at UFC on ESPN+ 34.
Brian was originally slated to fight Ricky Simon, But one of Ricky’s corners tested positive with Covid 19 so the fight was scrapped. We learned about Ricky pulling out about a week before we left to go to Vegas, The UFC scrambled to get us another opponent and they came back to us with Kevin Natividad. We are grateful he stepped up with only a week to get ready to fight.
After weigh in’s we learned that Kevin was out we weren’t to sure as to why, but the UFC had a replacement So Ray Rodriguez stepped up. Ultimately we weren’t sure who we were fighting just 24 hours before the fight.
Despite all that drama Brian was able to secure his signature Guillotine choke just 39 seconds into the fight (the fourth fastest submission in UFC history) and even earned performance of the night bonus. Congratulations Brian! Hard work pays off!
