The bill that would make MMA legal In Long Island and in New York in general is expected to make it to the floor of the assembly for a vote today!

According to Long Island MMA member and the town of Babylon supervisor Rich Shaffer’s Facebook account “Common sense dictates that this bill should pass both chambers and be signed by the Governor, making MMA legal in New York State…Finally!”

We hope Rich is right we would love to watch Long Island MMA’s Chris Wade, Ryan LaFlare or Dennis Bermudez fight inside Madison Square Garden or the Nassau Coliseum.
