Long Island MMA’s Mckenna made easy work of 10-0 Jerome Mickle in his 5th amateur fight.

Long Island MMA welterweight Hugh Mckenna wins big at the NYFE

Hugh Mckenna won the WKA welterweight title at NYFE 3. Not many people knew who Hugh Mckenna was, let alone gave him a chance to win at NYFE 3. Jerome Mickle was 10-0 at the time and displayed raw knockout power at the amateur level.

However as soon as the fight started it was clear that the superior fighter was Hugh. Hugh used his technical striking accompanied by impressive wrestling to control the entire fight until the ending choke.

The crowd was shocked as most of the audience was comprised of Mickle fans, but the Long Island MMA fans in the building were not surprised at all Hugh is a monster in the gym and one of the hardest working fighters we have.
